World Book Day 2024

Portglenone Primary School celebrated World Book Day together with lots of book and reading themed fun and activities. Pupils and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters - and all looked fantastic, including Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort, Harry and his bucket of dinosaurs, Mary Poppins, Stick Man, the Highway Rat, Matilda and Mrs Trunchbull, Gangsta Granny and many many more. The P1-4 pupils enjoyed a trip to Portglenone Library with Corrie and the P1s enjoyed reading stories with the P7s.
The children had also been involved in completing a World Book Day themed quiz with the chance of winning a book. Winners of this were announced in assembly on Friday.
