Visit from the author Tim Bailie

Last week, we had a visit from a local author, Tim Bailie. Every class had a session in which his read us his story 'The Proud Parakeet' and reminded us that true beauty lies within us all. Unlike the Proud Parakeet, we should not judge others solely based on their appearance as everyone is unique and special. The sessions were enjoyed by all children and adults in school, although the younger children were very disappointed that their teachers do not put on a funny hat to read stories in class! Many of the children went home with one of Tim's books signed and included a personalised dedication. Thank you Tim! We look forward to reading some of your other stories and hopefully a return visit another year to find out more!
