P1 visit to Gortgole Fold

Last week, P1 walked down to Gortgole Fold to spend the morning with the residents who live there. As we have been thinking about toys in topic time, we wanted to find out about their memories of favourite toys when they were younger. We took our teddy bears with us to introduce them to our new friends too, and everyone had a great time. The Fold had very kindly organised a snack for us to share with them and it was like a great big teddy bear picnic once we had got over our initial shyness. One resident brought a photograph which had him and his teddy in it from when he was 5 years old! Another lady showed us her doll which is now almost 100 years old. We are looking forward to visiting again very soon.
